Supermetrics is the tool marketing teams use to pull data from Facebook Ads, Google Ads, GA4, and 150+ other sources into one place. Connect it to Claude via MCP, and something better happens: you stop pulling data into spreadsheets and start asking questions — “how did my Meta campaign perform last week?” — and getting answers with real numbers, in plain English.
We’ve been running this connector on our own ad data for weeks (it powers the live dashboard we built in our Supermetrics Studio test). This is the setup guide, including the one step that isn’t obvious.
What You Get
Once connected, Claude can:
- Query your marketing data directly. Impressions, clicks, cost, CPC, CTR, frequency — from Facebook Ads, Google Ads, GA4, LinkedIn, TikTok and more, filtered by any date range.
- Discover your accounts and fields. Claude can list which ad accounts you’ve connected and which metrics each source supports, so you don’t need to memorize field names.
- Build live dashboards. Through Supermetrics Studio, Claude can create and publish shareable dashboard pages that re-query your data on every view — we tested this end to end and documented the results.
- Compare periods. Week over week, month over month, custom ranges — the comparison logic is built into the query tools.
Prerequisites
- A Supermetrics account (14-day free trial available — no credit card for the trial)
- At least one data source connected inside Supermetrics (e.g. your Facebook Ads or GA4 account)
- Claude Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise (connectors require a paid plan)
Step-by-Step Setup
Step 1: Connect your data sources in Supermetrics first
This is the step that trips people up, so we’re putting it first: the MCP connector only sees data sources you’ve already authorized inside Supermetrics. In our setup, the Facebook Ads source didn’t appear in Claude at all until we completed the OAuth authorization on the Supermetrics side. If Claude tells you a source isn’t available, this is almost always why.
Log in at supermetrics.com, go to your data sources, and connect each platform you want Claude to query (Facebook Ads, Google Ads, GA4, etc.). Each one walks you through its own login/consent screen.
Step 2: Add the connector in Claude
In Claude, open Settings → Connectors → Browse connectors, search for Supermetrics, and click Connect. You’ll be redirected to Supermetrics to authorize the link. Approve it, and you’re back in Claude with the connector active.
Step 3: Verify with a discovery question
Start a new chat and ask something like: “Which data sources and ad accounts can you see via Supermetrics?” Claude will run its discovery tools and list what’s available. If your source is missing, go back to Step 1.
Step 4: Ask your first real question
Now the good part. Try: “Show me impressions, link clicks, cost and CTR for my Facebook campaigns over the last 14 days.” Claude picks the fields, runs the query, and returns a readable summary — no field IDs, no spreadsheet exports.
What We Actually Use It For
Real examples from our own workflow, not hypotheticals:
- Post-campaign wrap-ups. When our Meta Ads test campaign ended, the final numbers in our analysis came from exactly these queries — 3,365 impressions, 292 link clicks, €0.12 CPC, pulled and summarized in one conversation.
- The live dashboard. Claude built and published a working dashboard page through Supermetrics Studio — charts, KPIs, date controls — that re-queries our ad account on every view.
- Sanity checks. “Did anything unusual happen with frequency this week?” is faster than opening Ads Manager.
Pricing: The Honest Part
Supermetrics is a professional tool with professional pricing — plans start around $29/month for a single data source and scale up with sources and destinations. The 14-day trial is genuinely full-featured, which is how we recommend testing whether the Claude workflow fits how you work. If you only need occasional, basic metrics from one platform, the platform’s own free tools (like Meta’s Ads Manager) may be enough. If you run ads across multiple platforms and report on them regularly, this combination replaces real hours.
Verdict
This is one of the most genuinely useful connectors we’ve tested — but it’s for a specific person: someone who runs paid campaigns or manages analytics across more than one platform. For that person, “ask your ad data questions in plain English” is not a gimmick, it’s a workflow change. Start with the trial, connect one real data source, and ask Claude about last week. You’ll know within ten minutes if it’s for you.
